It's time for the infamous Blue Marlin World Cup on the fourth of July and the BADCO team make their way back to Cape Verde, Africa a renown hotspot for monsters. Cape Verde has a familiarity to it for Anthony and the team, they've begun to understand the weather patterns, currents and bait migration better now after fishing there for three seasons.
But this year is different. It could be the last time they visit the remote archipelago with the World Tour set to come to completion next year at this time and the team will likely be in the South Pacific. Captain Steve decides to set the stage for exploration and they make the two day journey to the island of Maio, a first for everyone. This island is geologically unlike the others, it's low in altitude, it's sandy with turquoise beaches, but the fishing is equally on par and they see the best bite of the World Tour, rounding out over 100 fish in the two trips to this famous destination. Not to be missed.
