Season One: Episode 8 | Brazil - Part II
Join the Bad Company fishing team on their second adventure to Brazil's Royal Charlotte Bank. Captain Kevin Bohannon fills in for legendary Captain Steve Lassley during his absence. On this leg of the journey the team uses new fishing techniques from their previous trip to adapt to a new style of Marlin bite while in Brazil.
Along for the ride is legendary Captain James “Chewy” Roberts of the famous “French Look.” James reunites after 15+ years with one of his former Brazilian deckhands, Vitor Assad - Bad Company’s newest addition to the team. In an attempt to better understand Blue Marlin migratory patterns the team has partnered up with IGFA and Stanford University, bringing with them 5 satellite tags. Each tag costing $5,000USD, a costly endeavor.
The mission: to be the first ever to tag a large Female Blue Marlin over 700 pounds in the South Atlantic Ocean. The bite is the best the Bad Company fishing team has seen on any leg of the World Tour so far. Producing 20 Blue Marlin over 13 days of fishing. Battling fatigue, weather, and local longlines is all in a days work during the grueling 60 mile run to the the bank on their trusty 33’ L&H.
