The Bad Company Fishing Team returns to the legendary waters of Cape Verde, West Africa, for their fourth consecutive season in pursuit of giant Atlantic blue marlin.
After taking a six-month break from the World Tour, team member OB is back aboard—but this season comes with plenty of uncertainty. For the first time ever, the team is fishing Cape Verde during the month of April, entering the trip with no expectations and no idea what the fishery will have in store

Over just 10.5 days of fishing, the team releases an astonishing 78 Atlantic blue marlin, shattering their previous personal record of 63 marlin in 13 days. It becomes the greatest marlin fishing trip in Bad Company’s history.
Many of the marlin caught throughout the expedition weighed well over 500 pounds, creating an incredible opportunity for marine research. As dedicated conservationists, the team successfully deployed 10 long-term satellite tags into these giant fish, helping scientists study their movements and migration throughout the Atlantic Ocean over the next year. The achievement also sets a remarkable milestone, marking the most long-term satellite tags ever deployed during a single fishing expedition.
